This mechanism is sophisticated and has to be carried out under particular conditions. Production is the first step, after that drugs have to be packed and repacked.
After producing, the medicines are boxed up into huge containers and shipped on. Pharmaceutical repackaging is generally realised by an external corporation. This organization gets pharmaceuticals and then reorganizes them into smaller packagings, like blisters in boxes or glass bottles. The packages, in which drugs are transported have to meet special requirements. Sometimes the stable temperature is required to keep all the properties. That is the reason why some containers are particularly insulated. The process has a name of „cold chain”. For instance, some types of tablets or vaccines have to be kept in the fridge – in patient’s house also. Another case of pharmaceutical repackaging is being realized in pharmacies. Some clients come to the drug store for prescription medicines. The proper drug is produced by pharmacist following the physicians’ indications. So the pharmacies get larger amounts of specific ingredient, which are next divided into tinier parts, properly mixed and packed in smaller containers for users. The pharmacist instructs the client how to keep this medicine and how much time it may be used without losing its properties.

A drug is an exceptional product, which has to be packed carefully and stored in particular conditions. The whole process ensures that medicine gets in patient’s hands in perfect form and its properties are completely preserved.
